£9 per hour + end of season bonus
As an Aircraft De-icer you’ll be responsible for ensuring that aircraft and vehicles are de-iced and in condition to operate as normal through winter. You’ll be required to work outdoors at a height of up to 40ft above the ground inside the heated cab. You’ll be also trained to drive vehicles and operate various de-icing equipment.

Job Duties:
- spreading de-icing liquid on the aircraft skin
- driving de-icing lorries airside
- operating various de-icing equipment
- communicating with pilots and cabin crew

During the Summer season (April to October) you'll be required to work as a Baggage Handler or Passenger Service Agent

Baggage Handler Duties:
- loading of baggage to and from the aircraft hold and the baggage belt
- sorting of baggage for the correct flight
- manual handling
- marshalling of disembarking and embarking passengers to/from the terminal building when necessary
- maintaining a safe working environment
- positioning steps to aircraft
- driving various aviation vehicles such as electric tugs, aircraft steps etc.

Passenger Service Agent Duties:
- providing an excellent customer service to the passengers
- dealing with customer issues
- helping with communication between airlines and their passengers
- checking passenger documentation
- issuing boarding cards and baggage labels
- process passengers at the boarding gate

Candidate Requirements:
- good communication skills (as you’ll be required to use two way radios)
- full clean UK/EU driving license
- live no more than a 40 minute commute to the airport
- flexibility with the working hours (as these can be subject to change)
must be able to provide a full 5 years history of employment, education including any gaps & unemployment
- clean criminal record

£9.00 per hour + de-icing bonus paid at the end of the season

Shift times:
Mixture of morning shifts, starting from 4:30am and late shifts, starting from 1:30pm. Individual shifts lasting for a maximum of 12 hours.
